VOLUNTEER APPLICATION The Town depends on its boards to cover a variety of subjects and desires to actively engage citizens in the decision making process. As you are well aware, the best way to ensure the town progresses in a manner consistent with your desires is to get involved.

We would like to encourage you to apply to be on one of the advisory boards for the Town. Currently the Town has three boards which are responsible for reviewing items and making recommendations to the council. The boards are as follows: zoning, long range planning, and recreation. Each board meets once a month and discusses appropriate issues to help guide and direct the Town.

All Applicants:
To be eligible for appointment to Town boards, candidates must meet the following requirements:
A.
 Candidate must be a resident of the Town of Pleasant Garden
B. Candidate must be 18 years of age or older
C. Candidate must be a registered voter by the time of the first election following her/his appointment
D. Candidate must never have been convicted of a felony
E. Candidate must never have been convicted of crimes against children

Zoning Board Applicants
The Pleasant Garden Town Council may appoint no more than one full-time real estate professional and/or builder and/or developer of land for sale to others to the Zoning Board. "Full-time" is defined as anyone who, in the past three years, earned 51% or more of their income from work as a "real estate professional and/or builder and/or developer of land for sale to others".
